Sarah qualified as a professional acupuncturist in 1999 in the UK. She has been in general practice ever since.
Sarah has a long-standing interest in fertility and obstetric issues. She provides expert care for women and men at all stages of their fertility journey from pre-conception (including for IVF patients), pregnancy, birth and beyond.
Sarah is also an experienced practitioner in paediatric acupuncture for babies, children and teenagers.
Sarah has extensive experience in wider Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Acupuncture. She is also a qualified Feng Shui practitioner.
Sarah provides supervisory and mentoring support to other acupuncturists and complementary therapists to assist them to enhance their practice.
Post qualification study:
Sarah’s studies are continuous and help to enrich her practice and improve the care she offers to patients.
Sarah completed her first Internship in 2000 at the Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China.
Since then, she has gained Postgraduate Diplomas in:
2003 Preprepared Patent Herbal Remedies – 1-year course at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading
2004 Paediatric Acupuncture – 2-year course with Julian Scott and Theresa Barlow
Aside from continuous professional development training, Sarah’s further major learning cycles have included:
2013 Neijing Studies with Dr Ed Neal – 18 days, with continual extension training every year
2014 Supervision and mentoring training – with Isobel Cosgrove and Sally Blades, including regularly repeated group supervision
2016 Health Cultivation and Classical Medicine – Internship with Dr Suzanne Robidoux comprising an initial 70 hours, and with ongoing studies
Additionally, Sarah has been trained in specific areas of practice to provide improved care in paediatric, obstetric, and fertility acupuncture.
