Philippa runs a general acupuncture practice in Brixton and West Norwood. Over the years she has developed a special interest in women’s health covering natural and assisted conception, miscarriage, pregnancy including birth preparation, post-natal care, menstrual issues and menopause.
She provides a tranquil space where clients can relax and take time to discuss their health from a personal as well as medical perspective. Dietary and lifestyle suggestions, including relaxation and exercise, may form part of the treatment plan. She has a wide network of colleagues and specialists in other fields to whom she can refer clients, where appropriate.
Philippa studied Acupuncture at The College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, graduating in 1997 and has a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology with Physiology and Biochemistry (1984). She has a diploma in Tuina, Chinese Remedial massage, (2010) which she combines with acupuncture in many of her treatments.
Her postgraduate studies have included training with leading acupuncturists in fertility (Jani White and Zita West), obstetrics (Debra Betts) and Tuina (Sarah Pritchard). She has also undertaken post-graduate training in fertility with Consultant Gynaecologist, Michael Dooley, at the King Edward VII’s Hospital.
Philippa supports and nourishes her practice with ongoing training and supervision. She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and the Acupuncture Fertility Network.
